Starts in tight canyon below pinijuan. a few small rapids. followed by long III. at end is tight class IV-V. boofed or portaged left. If portage is walled out. perhaps best to come back with less water. another portage follows where river drops into very tight crack. A couple small falls follow. Arroyo from left signals Cascadas se Junta. one option is to portage well above falls on right. Best to have one volunteer or two jump after tossing boats. 60 feet. or rappel. frum next two falls. series of small rapids followed by boney class IV. another series of basalt falls. then portage la Lluvinosa after lowering boats on left. up canyon follow hidden trail. rapid below has been run with varying levels of disaster. best to portage on right. series of small rapids. One good IV. river turns to shoals and groans all the way to take-out. Small canyon just below put-in. four or five rapids class II - III. then a portage around a small cataract. we portaged on boulders on rr. Throw boats in pool below fall and jump in after. 100 feet of flatwater to another portage on rr. Up onto flat and downstream until you can get back to river. Lots of small rapids follow with two good small falls. First is simple spout into pool. Second is slot against an elbow smashing wall. A few more small rapids to confluence with river from rayon. Next rapid is a portage around 40 to 50 foot falls. We could have rappelled this in under an hour or walked around in about the same time. Instead Adam jumped into the plunge pool, then I threw boats and jumped in after them. Great series of two falls follows. Entrance to first is two 90 degree turns in bedrock slot with ramp leading into 25 foot falls. Next is 15 footer on left with complex entrance. Series of small rock gardens with two bedrock rapids follows. second bedrock is long slot followed by 15 foot falls. Lluvisnosa, said to be a hundred foot falls, follows. Portage by lowering boats in a slot to the left. Then walk up the wash directly to the left, looking for a trail traversing a boulder field and past small cave. The trail starts to descend almost directly parallel to the big exit rapid of the plunge pool. look for exposed traverse. use rope for safety. Stay on bench back up to boats. Exit rapid is a portage. Followed by series of rock gardens and tight slots. After less than hour a small trib. and road enter from left. The canyon opens up significantly and the rapids change to boney shoals. Bummer from here, but worth it for what\\''s above. Guayabos is no more than a small dirt road from right and a few houses. Don\\''t miss it. 2 km downstream small house on right with dogs and car chassis in front yard is house of IsabelJuan Perez. Also has house one down from store on main street in Guayabos.
